Blind Faith in the Status Quo
As a matter of fact, U.S financial system collapsed in the 2008 financial crisis. Some scholars even argue that “the United States may be in danger of complete collapse, much like what happened to the former Soviet Union”. Dmitry Orlov, a Soviet engineer who watched the disintegration of Soviet Union predicted the 5 stages of U.S economic collapse. First is the financial collapse. Secondly, the commercial collapse will emerge. Political collapse will soon follow it. The next one is the social collapse. Eventually, cultural collapse will come. No matter this prediction is accurate or not the inflation especially in oil price, the depreciation of dollar, unemployment, slumps in the price of stocks etc really make people disappointed. People are losing faith in the government, business and each other.
